Prof. Dr. Ulrike Basten
"I am fascinated by the relationship between personality and mental well-being, and how this relates to differences in neural information processing."
Ulrike Basten seeks to understand how differences in the way people process information from the world are associated with their personality and mental well-being. In her studies, she combines psychological experiments with measurements of brain activity using electroencephalography or magnetic resonance imaging. She investigates, for example, how differences in the neural processing of emotional stimuli are associated with individual emotion regulation and mental well-being.
